About
Mr. Sturmfels is currently Assistant City Manager for the City of Healdsburg. He is a member of ICMA,
the Healdsburg Rotary, and serves on the Presidential Advisory Board for Roanoke College.
Biography
Mr. Sturmfels spent over 7 years in the hospitality industry before entering public service. His over 12
years of public sector leadership has included three executive appointments by former Governor Jerry
Brown. He worked for 10 years with for the state of California providing leadership in the areas of
environmental policy, economic development, legislative and intergovernmental affairs, and
government administration. Mr. Sturmfels joined the City of Healdsburg in 2021 as Administrative
Services Director before being promoted to Assistant City Manager in 2022.
